Gems Data Load (GDL)
A GDL collects data that informs the physical estate footprint and other information relating to estate management, this includes environmental factors like asbestos.
There are many examples of assets being incorrectly captured or missing from a GDL shell submission. Project scope at design may not have all the relevant information to correctly classify or capture. This increases the likelihood of additional GDL shells during delivery. HOTO Solutions supports bridging of information to ensure full capture.
GDL updates are also frequently rejected due to missing mandatory information or difficulty in populating. HOTO Solutions will support updates to reduce the risk of delays in obtaining acceptance.
The Correct Way:
GDL shell create submitted => validated => request for data download => GDL update submission => validated => uploaded into GEMS.
